Cash & monthly solar options · Massachusetts & Connecticut
Missed the solar tax credit? Solar may be better than you think.
The federal homeowner solar tax credit ended for new installations completed after December 31, 2025.
The credit ended—not your solar options. Compare SunPol’s discounted cash Prepaid Program with Propel’s monthly financing and funded path to ownership. Both start with third-party system ownership—not ownership for you on day one. Utility charges may remain.
SunPol cash offer: available through 2027; your system must be in service by to qualify. Propel’s timing and eligibility are confirmed in its proposal.
We’ll review your roof and compare cash pricing, proposed monthly payments, ownership and service terms.
Compare both options on your call. This is not a credit application.

Two offers. You choose on your call.
Pay cash now. Or compare monthly financing.
The federal homeowner solar tax credit ended for new installations completed after December 31, 2025. Compare two prepaid structures—not just the first payment. Ownership, financing costs and contract terms matter too.
Option 1
SunPol Prepaid · Cash
One upfront cash payment
A 25-year SunPol program with a price 30% less than buying the same solar system.
Payment
One upfront cash payment. No loan is included in this cash offer.
Program price
30% less than buying the same solar system. Not a tax credit or cash rebate.
System owner
SunPol owns the equipment during the 25-year program.
Service
SunPol maintains the system under your agreement; coverage and exclusions apply.
Ownership later
Your agreement sets transfer and end-of-term options. No automatic ownership is promised.
Option 2
Propel · Monthly financing
Monthly loan payments
Explore a potential 25–35% program-price discount and a funded path to ownership. Project and lender approval are required.
Payment
A loan funds the prepaid SolSource energy services agreement and Early Buyout Option. Monthly payments are subject to lender approval and the loan documents.
Program price
Potential 25–35% program-price discount, depending on your project; not guaranteed. Your written proposal identifies the cash-purchase comparison, prepaid service fee and funded buyout. Interest and fees affect total repayment. This is not utility-bill savings or a homeowner tax credit.
System owner
SolSource initially owns the equipment. Financing does not give you ownership at installation.
Service
5-year operations and maintenance, performance protection and workmanship coverage; 10-year roof-penetration warranty. Terms and exclusions apply.
Monitoring
25-year solar monitoring and 15-year battery monitoring if storage is included. Monitoring and warranty-claim support are not full maintenance for those periods.
Funded ownership path
The Early Buyout Option is funded upfront and normally applied automatically after Contract Year 5 unless you opt out, subject to the agreement. No additional buyout payment is required under that funded option—not a free system. Your remaining loan payments continue.
Utility charges may remain with either option. Program-price discounts are not reductions in your utility bill or total loan payments. Compare the same equipment and scope, including funded buyout, interest and fees. Your written proposal confirms your actual discount and loan terms.
Cash prepaid uses your funds now. Propel’s financed option spreads repayment over the approved loan term.
Total borrowing cost
No loan is part of the SunPol cash offer. With Propel financing, review APR, interest, applicable charges and total repayment—not only the monthly amount.
Ownership and coverage
SunPol owns its cash-program system. Propel starts with SolSource ownership and a funded buyout normally applied after Contract Year 5 unless you opt out. The loan continues; service coverage has separate time limits.
Two payment approaches. Clear terms before you choose.
SunPol Prepaid is the cash-funded offer. The Propel option featured here uses a loan to fund a prepaid energy services agreement and an Early Buyout Option with SolSource. Neither gives you system ownership at installation.
YOUR ROOF → YOUR ENERGY
Cash or loan Two payment approaches. Review who owns the system.
01
Review your home and eligibility
We review your roof, electricity use and project requirements. Propel also requires the applicable installer participation, program qualification and lender approval.
02
Compare cash with monthly repayment
Review SunPol’s cash program price alongside the complete Propel financing proposal: financed amount, APR, loan length, monthly payment and total repayment. We do not invent those figures before a quote.
03
Check ownership and service
Read the agreement for the option you choose. Cash prepaid and Propel differ in the system owner, ownership options and service responsibilities. An ownership transfer does not, by itself, cancel any remaining loan balance.
Based in Newington, SunPol serves homeowners in Connecticut and Massachusetts. We’ll help you understand your options, without assuming one solution fits every home.
Which payment approach could fit your home?
We review roof condition and layout, shade, electricity use and program requirements. Your home, utility and contract terms determine eligibility; Propel financing also requires lender approval. A ZIP code alone does not establish approval.

No guesswork
Cash or monthly? Understand the differences.
Questions to answer before choosing either offer.
Is SunPol cash prepaid a purchase of the equipment?
No. This cash option is a 25-year prepaid lease, paid with one upfront cash payment. SunPol owns and maintains the system under the agreement. No loan is included in this cash offer, and no automatic transfer of equipment ownership is promised.
Is Propel a normal solar purchase loan?
No. The financed Propel option uses a loan to fund a prepaid SolSource energy services agreement and its Early Buyout Option. SolSource initially owns the system. Monthly loan payments are subject to lender approval and your loan documents; financing does not give you ownership at installation.
Propel also supports cash prepayment generally. This page compares its monthly-financing option with SunPol’s separate cash Prepaid offer.
How does Propel’s funded buyout work?
The reviewed program funds the Early Buyout Option upfront through the loan. Those funds are normally applied automatically after Contract Year 5 unless you opt out in time, subject to the agreement. The provider then confirms the purchase and transfers title.
No additional purchase payment is required under that funded option. It is not a free system: the acquisition funds were provided earlier, and your remaining loan payments continue. Contract Year 5 follows the agreement’s interconnection-based definition—not simply five years from signing.
What happens if I opt out of the funded buyout?
The reviewed sample ESA requires written notice before the 90-day cutoff preceding the end of Contract Year 5. The sample loan requires you to be current. Check your actual agreements and notice instructions before making an election.
Under the reviewed financed structure, the held buyout funds go toward the loan balance—not to you as cash. This shortens the loan rather than reducing the scheduled monthly payment. Later purchase options can have a different price.
Can I repay the Propel loan early?
The reviewed program allows early loan repayment without a prepayment penalty. Accrued interest and other applicable charges can still be due. Paying the loan off does not itself exercise the buyout or transfer system ownership.
Interest can start at substantial completion, before the first scheduled payment. Confirm the actual payoff statement and how the funded buyout is handled with your lender.
What are Propel’s APR, loan term and monthly payment?
Those figures require a current financing proposal and lender approval. Review the financed amount, APR, loan length, scheduled monthly payment, total interest, applicable charges and total repayment. The loan term is separate from the energy-agreement term and from the ownership-option timing. This page does not quote a loan rate, payment amount, down payment or term.
Can payments change, and are there financing costs?
Propel is not a conventional annually escalating PPA. However, loan reamortization and autopay conditions can affect the payment or rate under the loan documents. Do not assume every payment can never change.
A program-price discount does not make financing interest-free or eliminate all fees. Review the actual APR, applicable charges and total scheduled payments. No loan is included in SunPol’s cash offer.
How do the 30% cash and 25–35% Propel discounts differ?
SunPol’s cash offer has a program price 30% less than buying the same solar system. Propel offers a potential 25–35% program-price discount depending on the project; the actual percentage is confirmed in your written proposal, not guaranteed by this page.
For Propel, review the same-system cash-purchase comparison, the prepaid service fee and the funded buyout together. Do not exclude a separately funded buyout from an all-in ownership-cost comparison or add it twice if already included. Interest and fees affect total loan repayment. Neither percentage is a homeowner tax credit, cash rebate, utility-bill reduction or guaranteed lifetime saving.
What has to happen by the end of 2027?
For the SunPol cash offer, your system must be in service by December 31, 2027. Signing a contract, paying a deposit or scheduling installation alone does not meet that condition. Eligibility and timely completion are not guaranteed. Propel’s eligibility, project timing and financing requirements must be confirmed in its proposal; this page does not assign the cash offer’s deadline to Propel.
What coverage comes with Propel, and is a battery included?
SunPol maintains its separate cash-program system under the SunPol agreement. Propel’s non-California program materials list 5-year operations and maintenance, 5-year performance protection, 5-year workmanship coverage and a 10-year roof-penetration warranty, subject to the agreement and exclusions.
Solar monitoring and asset management run for 25 years; battery monitoring runs for 15 years if storage is included. This 25-year solar monitoring and 15-year battery monitoring are not full maintenance or free repairs for those periods. Manufacturer warranties and remaining installer coverage are separate.
The performance protection concerns qualifying electricity-production shortfalls, not your utility bill or financial savings. Provider guidance assigns insurance responsibility to the homeowner from Year 6, even if the buyout is declined; confirm the loan, energy agreement and insurer’s requirements.
Enphase is the identified microinverter and battery hardware partner. A battery is not automatically included or free; equipment, coverage and any storage must be specified in your proposal.
Is Propel available in Connecticut and Massachusetts?
SolSource announced its expansion into Connecticut and Massachusetts in July 2026. Actual availability depends on installer participation, project qualification and lender approval. We will review your home and confirm the applicable options; a consultation is not credit approval.
What if I sell my home?
Review the home-sale and transfer terms of the applicable energy agreement. For Propel financing, also review the loan’s repayment and transfer provisions with the lender. Do not assume a loan or energy agreement automatically transfers to a buyer or that a transfer is free.
Will I still have a utility bill?
Utility charges may remain with either option. A program-price discount or monthly loan payment does not eliminate your utility bill or guarantee energy savings. Compare the complete project and financing costs with your utility situation before deciding.
Can I still claim the federal homeowner solar tax credit?
The federal Residential Clean Energy Credit under section 25D is not available for new installations completed after December 31, 2025. IRS OBBB FAQ 7 explains that an expenditure is treated as made when the original installation is completed; paying by the end of 2025 does not qualify an installation completed afterward. For expenditures connected with construction or reconstruction of a structure, the relevant timing rule concerns when the taxpayer’s original use of the structure begins. Eligible unused credits from 2025 or earlier may still be carried forward, subject to applicable tax rules. This cutoff does not mean all other solar incentives are unavailable. Consult a qualified tax professional about your circumstances.

SunPol cash offer: available through 2027; your system must be in service by to qualify. Propel’s timing and eligibility are confirmed in its proposal.
The federal Residential Clean Energy Credit under section 25D is not available for new installations completed after December 31, 2025. Paying before that cutoff does not qualify a later installation. For construction or reconstruction of a structure, IRS guidance addresses when the taxpayer’s original use begins. Eligible prior-year unused credits may still be carried forward, subject to applicable rules; this does not mean all other incentives have ended.
Neither offer gives the homeowner a new federal section 25D credit for an installation completed after the cutoff. Provider-owned structures may reflect eligible provider-side incentive value in pricing; this page does not certify any provider’s tax eligibility. Consult a qualified tax professional about your circumstances.
SunPol Prepaid · Cash
The SunPol cash offer is a 25-year prepaid lease funded with one upfront cash payment. Sunpol LLC owns and maintains the system under the agreement. No loan is included in this cash offer; utility charges may remain.
Its program price is 30% less than buying the same solar system and quoted scope. This is not a homeowner tax credit, refund, cash rebate, electricity-bill reduction or demonstrated lifetime-cost saving. Additional work and options affect the final proposal. The comparison does not apply to Propel pricing, financed balances or total repayments.
The SunPol cash offer is available through 2027: your system must be in service by to qualify. A contract, deposit or installation booking alone is insufficient. Eligibility and timely completion are not guaranteed. This is a SunPol offer condition, not an exceptionless federal commercial-credit deadline.
The SunPol agreement defines service coverage, exclusions, responsibilities, home-sale procedures and end-of-term options. No automatic equipment ownership is promised.
Propel · Monthly financing
This page features a loan-funded prepaid SolSource energy services agreement and funded Early Buyout Option, subject to lender approval, installer participation, project eligibility and final documents. SolSource initially owns the system; this is not a day-one equipment-purchase loan. Propel also permits cash prepayment generally, separate from SunPol’s cash offer.
The potential 25–35% program-price discount is project-specific, not guaranteed. Your written proposal must identify the comparison price for the same system and installation scope, the prepaid service fee, funded buyout, taxes and excluded work. Do not treat a service-fee-only discount as a reduction in all-in ownership cost. Do not double-count buyout funds already included in the financed amount. Interest, fees, insurance, later service costs and utility charges affect total economics; the range is not a tax credit, cash rebate, bill reduction or guaranteed lifetime saving.
The reviewed funded Early Buyout Option is elected and funded upfront and normally applied automatically after Contract Year 5 unless you opt out in time, subject to the documents. Unused prepaid service value and the funded buyout make up the purchase price under that option, with no additional purchase payment required under that provision. This is not free ownership. Purchase completion and title transfer follow the provider’s process; the remaining loan obligation continues. Contract-year timing is interconnection-based as defined in the ESA, not a promise of transfer exactly five years from signing or installation.
Opt-out, later purchase, home-sale transfer and early loan payoff have separate rules. Under the reviewed sample financed arrangement, opted-out buyout funds reduce the loan balance, not provide cash to the homeowner; scheduled monthly payments are not reduced by that application. Loan assumption requires lender approval and the ESA has separate transfer conditions. Applicable security filings and fees may affect sale or refinancing. Obtain the current signed-package terms and payoff/escrow instructions.
Non-California program materials list 5-year operations and maintenance, 5-year performance protection and 5-year workmanship coverage; a 10-year roof-penetration warranty; 25-year solar monitoring/asset management and 15-year battery monitoring/asset management when storage is included. These are distinct obligations with their own start dates, conditions and exclusions—not full maintenance or free repairs throughout the monitoring periods. The performance guarantee addresses qualifying production shortfalls, not bill savings. Provider guidance shifts insurance responsibility to the homeowner from Year 6 even if the buyout is declined; the applicable loan, ESA and insurance documents govern.
No individual Propel APR, loan length, monthly amount, down payment, total repayment or purchase amount is quoted here. Review the actual lender’s disclosures, reamortization, autopay conditions, interest accrual and applicable charges. No annual payment escalator or prepayment penalty does not mean an immutable payment, interest-free financing or no fees.
Propel project deadlines, equipment eligibility, incentives, battery inclusion and obligations must be confirmed in its written proposal. Do not assume SunPol’s cash-offer 30% comparison, 25-year program or December 31, 2027 deadline applies to Propel. Monitoring periods do not set the loan term. Do not assume utility/grid-program incentives are paid to the homeowner. Enphase hardware partnership does not promise free or included storage.
This is a SunPol consultation and comparison page, not a loan application, lender prequalification or credit decision. The form does not submit a Propel credit application. The reviewed program identifies Medallion Bank as lender and Concert Finance/TriBeam in the financing/servicing arrangement; your actual financing documents identify the lender and terms.

Eligibility and your decision
Both offers require project review. Not every home or utility qualifies. Utility charges may remain, and savings are not guaranteed. Compare equivalent equipment and scope, payment timing, total costs, ownership rights and ongoing responsibilities before choosing.
Standard grid-connected solar alone does not power your home during a grid outage. Backup storage must be separately specified and priced if included. Informational comparison only, not a binding price, financing offer or contract.
